General Notes: BRISTOL -- Richard H. Parrott, 85, formerly of Langdon St., Plymouth, died Nov. 24, 2005, at Speare Memorial Hospital, in Plymouth after a brief illness.
Born in Center Harbor on June 15, 1920, he was the son of Daniel and Mary (Conroy) Parrott.
He was a World War II U.S. Army Air Corps veteran and served as a bombardier on a B-17, in the European Theater.
Upon his discharge, he worked at the Dane Farm in Center Harbor. In 1951, he moved to Plymouth where he went to work for the Long View Dairy, the Giles Dairy and then the Weeks Dairy.
In 1985, he went to work for the Holderness School in Holderness until his retirement in 2000.
He was a member of the Appalachian Mountain Club and the 4,000 Footers Club of New Hampshire. He was also a member of the Squam Lakes Science Center, in Holderness and an avid Boston sports fan.
He was the widower of Beulah Parrott, who died in September of 1982.

He was also predeceased by two sisters, Evelyn Parrott and Alice Chase.
Richard had a great passion for mountain hiking. Many Holderness students and former employees became involved in hiking because of Richard. He passed on his love for the mountain to many people. All of his grandchildren, whom he loved being with, have climbed many mountains with him.
The family includes two sons, Richard A. Parrott and wife, Vickie, of Alexandria; Edward Kelley and his wife, Mary of Lee; daughter, Joyce Roy and partner David Albert of Bristol; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one nephew, Ronald Chase of Warren; two nieces, Patricia Papio of Lincoln, and Carolyn Papio of Campton.
SERVICES: Calling hours will be held in the Mayhew Funeral Home, 12 Langdon St. Plymouth, on Monday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in the Saint Matthews Roman Catholic Church, Plymouth, on Tuesday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery, Campton.
